Jeff has been advising families, entrepreneurs, endowments and foundations for over 35 years to help preserve and grow their wealth.

Prior to this, Jeff served as a partner with one of Indiana’s largest law firms, representing a wide array of clients, including individuals and both private and public companies. Jeff’s passion for using his legal background and 25 years of investment experience enables him to navigate complex financial landscapes and provide strategic guidance to clients.

In 2010, Jeff and David Knall donated to establish The Knall-Cohen Investment Fund, which is an endowment position in the Indiana University Foundation that teaches students fundamental research analysis and provides the opportunity for them to invest real money.

He was appointed to sit on the board of Next Level Indiana by the sitting Governor of Indiana, a fund dedicated to making targeted investments in Indiana venture capital funds and local businesses. This initiative aims to generate competitive investment performance while fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within the state.

Jeff's professional affiliations include past memberships in the American, Indiana, and Indianapolis Bar Associations, as well as an appointment to the Marion County Judicial Nominating Committee. He has also contributed significantly to higher education as a former Board of Trustees member for Indiana University, where he was appointed by a previous Governor of Indiana and chaired the Finance and Audit Committee. His commitment to community service is further demonstrated through his prior board roles with the Trust of Park Tudor School, the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library Foundation, and VEI, a for-profit subsidiary of Community Hospital.

Jeff attended Indiana University on a tennis scholarship, where he distinguished himself as a four-year letter winner on the men’s varsity team. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence, providing him with a solid foundation in both business and legal principles.

He currently resides in Carmel, IN with his wife, Jennie. Jeff and Jennie’s two children reside in Los Angeles and New York City. In his leisure time, Jeff is an avid pickleball player, participating at a professional level, which reflects his competitive spirit and commitment to excellence both in the office and on the court.
